Parsons fourth graders are learning how different senses work. In this experiment, students created “whiskers” to simulate a cat’s sense of touch and tested whether they could tell which whisker was being touched. They felt the movement of the whisker from inside their mask, helping them experience how cats detect touch through their whiskers. This hands-on activity gave students a deeper understanding of how whiskers help animals sense their surroundings.
