The NBTMS AMPED on Algebra program was selected to be one of only 15 programs to come to the Trenton Statehouse for the first post-COVID in-person STEM showcase on Thursday 3/30/23. Supervisor of Math and Science Jeannine Lanphear, 8th Grade Algebra Teacher Jessica Skelton, and student Katelynn Ramos attended the event on behalf of the program, and Katelynn did a fantastic job representing both the AMPED program and our Algebra-based physics program. Legislators viewed the displays and talked with the programs about their highlighted STEM activity. Participants came from a variety of public, private and not for profit organizations. We were especially excited to speak with Andrew Zwicker, from our legislative district. Our legislator was quite impressed as a Princeton physicist himself! What an awesome way to end #NJSTEMMonth #truenbtschools
