Our newly renovated and state of the art NBTECC is now located at 25 Linwood Place. The new building is equipped with the newest technology and equipment to support our earliest learners. Creating a welcoming school environment is a foundation for all preschool students and families as we welcome them into our North Brunswick Township School Community. The multi-purpose room will be a centralized location that will be able to hold North Brunswick Preschool after-school events and meetings for parents throughout the district.
At North Brunswick, we follow the research on Early Childhood Education. We believe that a structured play-based environment is the foundation for becoming a life-long learner. It is our pleasure to meet the needs of our students and families by providing the elements of a highly effective preschool program. The Preschool Program implements the highly regarded and NJDOE recommended Creative Curriculum and Gold Assessment to support the learning of our 3, 4 and 5 year olds. As part of the growth of the preschool program, we have added a Preschool Intervention and Referral Team, A Preschool Master Teacher, A Preschool Special Area Teacher and a Community Parent Involvement Specialist to increase early intervention, set strong foundations in child development and to partner with our North Brunswick Families in the education of our preschool students.
The NBT Preschool Community believes that building relationships and collaborating with all district stakeholders is critical in supporting our community of preschool learners. We have done this by working together with community partners and developing connections that will support our students and their families. We have a district wide NBT Preschool Family Group that meets monthly and is open to all district preschool families from all of our locations and programs. This group meets monthly for educational opportunities, program updates, and collaboration on preschool events. The preschool administration team has also worked together with the Mayor’s Office, North Brunswick Township Police Department, North Brunswick Township Education Association, and other community partners to support our program in various ways. These partnerships with the local community helps make the North Brunswick Preschool Community a critical component to the success of our preschool programs.
The funding from the DOE continues to assist us with this important district and community initiative, while providing an equitable opportunity for an increased number of students as they move forward with the continuum of educational programming in North Brunswick. The district plans on applying for funding each year, allowing the district to continue to expand the preschool at no cost to our families.
