On Saturday, 10/25/25, NBTHS Guidance & School Counseling hosted a FAFSA Completion Work Session with SolutionPrep to help parents of the class of 2026 file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). In Mrs. Ruffino's Honors Algebra 2 classes this week students derived the quadratic formula ... and yes, they built it themselves! 🧠💥
A formula that once seemed confusing suddenly made sense as they discovered where it comes from and why it works to solve for x.
Students worked in randomized groups, collaborated beautifully, and had such thoughtful math conversations.
