It was a big month for the Social Studies Department at NBTHS! Ms. Passner brought her Dimensions of Prejudice class to the US Holocaust Museum in Washington, DC., with stops at the Lincoln, Vietnam War and Korean War Memorials. And Ms. Zangrilli went with her Gen Z class to the 9/11 Memorial and Museum. Great experiences for our students, and they represented our school community so well.

Congratulations to the Students of Marking Period 2 at NBTHS! A total of 12 students were recognized across Grades 9-12 for displaying one of the four pillars of our RISE character education program (Respect, Integrity, Service, Excellence), during marking period 2. We are proud of their positive contributions to our school!

Mrs. Ruffino's Algebra 1 students were hard at work collaborating to solve shape puzzles that required strong reasoning and teamwork! By analyzing relationships between shapes, students represented and solved systems of equations in a visual, engaging way. Through discussion, perseverance, and shared problem-solving, students deepened their understanding while building confidence in their mathematical thinking. We are so proud of the collaboration, communication, and critical thinking happening in the classroom! #truenorthbrunswick

Last week, NBTHS students visited the Harlem Fine Arts Show in NYC!

Last week, NBTHS students were invited up on stage at the Harlem Fine Arts Show in NYC!

12 clubs and groups took part this week in the annual Suzan Ezdinli Valentines Market in the NBTHS Commons. It was a smashing success! #truenorthbrunswick

Students were hard at work in Mrs. Ruffino and Mrs. Flesta's CP Algebra 1 classes today! Together they collaborated in small groups as they tackled varying levels of systems of equations at the whiteboards around the room. Each group rotated through meaningful roles—recorder, calculator/computation specialist, and communicator—to ensure every voice was heard and every idea mattered.
We are so proud of the productive discussions, strong connections made, and the perseverance shown. Way to think, collaborate, and problem-solve! #truenorthbrunswick
